1 Refund Request Period

Refund requests must be submitted within 10 calendar days from the original purchase date.

Requests received after the 10-day period are generally not eligible for a refund under this policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Important: The 10-day period begins on the date the order is placed, not on the date the customer first opens or downloads the file.

2 When a Full Refund May Be Available

Unable to Access the Download

If you cannot access the purchased download and we are unable to restore or provide reasonable access to the file, you may request a full refund within the 10-day refund period.

Corrupted PDF File

If the supplied PDF is corrupted and cannot reasonably be opened, viewed or used, you may request a full refund within the 10-day refund period.

Before issuing a refund for an access or corrupted-file issue, we may first attempt to correct the problem by providing a new download link, replacement file, or technical assistance.

If a working replacement or functioning download can be provided, a full refund may not be necessary.

3 Unreadable, Blurred or Unusable Pages

Technical manuals may originate from older publications or archived documents. In some cases, individual pages may contain scanning, printing or image-quality imperfections.

If specific pages are substantially unreadable, excessively blurred, missing, corrupted, or otherwise unusable, a partial refund may be calculated according to the number of affected pages.

Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not materially prevent the information on a page from being read or used will not ordinarily qualify as an unreadable page.

4 How Partial Refunds Are Calculated

When only part of a PDF is affected, the refund amount is calculated proportionally according to the number of qualifying affected pages.

Partial Refund Formula
Purchase Price ÷ Total PDF Pages × Number of Affected Pages
Example

A manual costs $40.00 and contains 400 pages.

If 20 pages are confirmed to be unreadable:

$40.00 ÷ 400 = $0.10 per page

$0.10 × 20 affected pages = $2.00 partial refund.

The total partial refund cannot exceed the amount actually paid for the affected product.

5 What Qualifies as an Affected Page?

For purposes of calculating a partial refund, a page may qualify as affected when the problem materially prevents reasonable use of the information on that page.

Examples may include:

  • a page that is completely blank when information should be present;
  • a page that is missing from the supplied PDF;
  • a scan that is so blurred that the relevant text cannot reasonably be read;
  • a page that is materially cropped and important information is missing;
  • a corrupted page that cannot be displayed;
  • technical diagrams that are materially unreadable;
  • pages containing severe scanning defects that prevent normal use.

Minor Quality Differences

A page does not necessarily qualify for a refund merely because it reflects the age or condition of the source publication.

Examples that normally do not qualify on their own include:

  • minor discoloration;
  • slight page skew;
  • small marks or stains;
  • older typography or printing styles;
  • minor image degradation where the information remains readable;
  • normal characteristics of an archived or older technical publication.

6 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact Repair Manual within 10 days of purchase.

Please provide:

  1. your order number;
  2. the email address used for the purchase;
  3. the title of the affected manual;
  4. a short description of the problem;
  5. the affected PDF page numbers, where applicable;
  6. screenshots or other reasonable evidence showing corrupted, blurred or unreadable pages, where applicable.

Providing complete information helps us investigate and process requests more quickly.

7 Verification of File Issues

We may review the supplied PDF, download system, order information, page numbers and screenshots before approving a refund.

We may also attempt to resolve the issue by:

  • providing a replacement download link;
  • resending the purchased file;
  • providing a corrected version of the file;
  • replacing corrupted pages where reasonably possible;
  • providing technical assistance with download access.

If we successfully correct the reported problem, a refund for that corrected issue may no longer be applicable.

8 Refund Method

All approved refunds are issued only to the original source of payment used for the purchase.

We do not redirect an approved refund to another credit card, bank account, payment account, person or payment method.

For example, if an order was originally paid using a particular credit card, the refund will be submitted back through the payment processor to that original card account.

If the original payment method is no longer active, the payment provider or financial institution determines how the returned funds are handled.

Unless required by law or expressly agreed otherwise, approved refunds are not issued as cash, checks, cryptocurrency, transfers to unrelated accounts, or alternative payment methods.

9 Refund Processing Time

After a refund is approved and submitted by Repair Manual, additional processing time may be required by the payment processor, card network, bank or financial institution.

The time required for the refund to appear on your account is controlled by those third parties and may vary according to the payment method.

10 Situations Not Normally Eligible for a Refund

Subject to applicable law, a refund will generally not be provided when:

  • the request is made more than 10 days after purchase;
  • the PDF can be downloaded and opened normally and no material defect is identified;
  • the customer purchased a manual for the wrong model, machine, year, serial number or equipment configuration despite the relevant information being correctly stated in the listing;
  • the complaint concerns minor cosmetic imperfections that do not prevent reasonable use of the manual;
  • the customer’s device, software, browser or internet connection is causing the problem and the supplied file itself is functional;
  • the customer no longer needs or wants the manual after receiving a functioning digital product;
  • the customer expected information that was not represented as being included in the product listing;
  • there is insufficient information to identify the order or evaluate the claimed defect.

11 Multiple Affected Pages

If multiple pages have the same or different readability defects, qualifying pages will generally be counted individually for the partial refund calculation.

The same page cannot be counted more than once merely because it contains more than one quality issue.

Where the overall file is so extensively corrupted or unreadable that a page-by-page refund would not reasonably address the defect, we may treat the issue as a materially unusable PDF and consider a full refund instead.

12 Duplicate Orders

If you accidentally place an identical duplicate order, contact us promptly.

We may review transaction and download records when determining whether a duplicate-order refund is appropriate.

Any approved refund remains subject to the requirement that the refund be returned to the original payment method.

13 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage customers to contact us first if there is a problem with a purchased manual so that we can investigate the issue and attempt to resolve it.

Filing a payment dispute does not change the underlying facts of an order, and we may provide the payment provider with relevant transaction records, download records, communications and other information reasonably necessary to respond to a dispute.

14 Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes a refund, cancellation, warranty or other remedy that applicable law requires us to provide and that cannot lawfully be waived.

Where mandatory consumer-protection law provides a customer with greater rights than this policy, the applicable mandatory legal requirement will control.
